MR2 Turbo

Ah ha! Finally I have another car! After doing a ton of searching for another car I found it. I bought a 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo. This car is fantastic and I would have to say that it is my favorite out of the cars I have owned. Previously I had an 1991 Isuzu Trooper. Next was a 2004 Acura RSX Type-S. Then a 1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. And now the MR2. Don't get me wrong though, I enjoyed all of my previous cars immensly, but the MR2 is something special. It feels like a full on sports car. It has rear wheel drive, a mid-engine, t-tops, awesome flip up headlights, and no power steering! Yes, that's right, there is no power steering and it's great. I feel like I have been spoiled with powersteering in my previous cars, but I really really enjoy driving without it. Sure, it's harder to turn at low speeds, but the road feedback and handling just feels so much better. My girlfriend and I took the car on two back to back eight hour trips this weekend and the car did awesome. Next up I'm planning to get some new tires on it and then take it autocrossing! Insert really big grin here. With this new car, I think I may have grown a full inch! Click the picture for a nice big version.
